The Burnout

You know you have entered the adult life when you can’t find a balance between your ‘oh-so-precious’ sleep and your workload, when there’s barely any time left for you to enjoy the ‘me time’ as you get to home after attending work for almost more than half of your day. Days pass by, weeks run through, months disappear and you just keep following through life, 9 to 5, like a lifeless yet an alive human being. It becomes painful to see yourself not finding even a drop of minute to indulge in that hobby you used to be so glued to when you were young. You want to do something new for a change but, You. Just. Don’t. Find. The. Damn. Time!

You know you have entered the adult life and you know it sucks. It’ll keep me whining all my day to be honest but hey, it won’t help. Adulting is an actual devil but if we just have a look around us for once, everyone’s dealing with it, in some or the other way. It takes us awhile to realize that it is a part of our lives. Just as that easy college-going young age was a part of life once, now this is a part too. If you’re a beginner at adulting and actually freaking out seeing yourself caught in a fire (like me :3), I need to remind you to just have a glass of water and breathe.

To be honest, I don’t have any solutions to present to you this time; because I believe this isn’t a problem at the first place. Adulting is just here to teach you further lessons of life. The skills we need to equip with, the responsibilities we need to take care of, to achieve the tricky yet attainable work-life balance and to carry our adult life with a smile, is all part of the lessons that we still yet to grasp.

Beginning with adult life can be weary and pretty tiresome, but being mindful of not letting it attack your mental health is truly essential. Dealing with the workload at your new job, finding ways to make tasks interesting and getting into the uncomfortable zone to challenge your potential & experimenting new things is all we need to look forward to.

So gear yourself up, and wish yourself- Happy Adulting!
